Sorry, My Mistake

I wasn't being the most patient Mommy the other day when I said "Maarti, I've asked you five times now!  Clean.  Up.  This.  Mess!"

Sam heard me.  "Mommy, I thought you're supposed to use our middle names when you're mad."

Thanks for Clearing That Up Sam

"Hey Maarti, brown peanut butter is actually just called 'Peanut Butter' and red peanut butter is called 'Jam'."

*Please keep this new bit of information confidential as we will have some serious lunch dilemmas around here if our peanut-free school gets wind that jam is actually red peanut butter!  Thank you for your consideration.

So Says Maarti

"Mom, did you know that Jesus usually wears socks?  He even has Rock Star ones and ones with Guitars all over them."

(Somehow it's nice to know that Jesus wears fun socks - don't you think?)

Easter

Just a few pictures from our Easter... we are so blessed!
Not sure how Luke can sleep in the Jolly Jumper... Sam did the same thing when he was this age. The boys love people and just don't want to leave the party even when they are way too tired!
Luke with his first Easter basket. He loves his new Peter Rabbit... its ears are perfect for chewing on apparently.
We had gorgeous weather all weekend so between all the Easter Events we were taking part in we tried to hit as many parks as we could. All of our kids love the swings!

Eagle Mountain is the perfect place to fly a kite... we'll go back there soon!
I love this picture... Daddy and his girl.

I Say "Granola"... You Say "Gree-Noodle"

We usually try and correct the kids when they mispronounce words. There is the odd word however, that never got corrected and the kids just may have even trained the parents to also say it wrong. For instance, for the past 3 or so years we have been calling granola bars "gree-noodle bars" without even really realizing it. I think that is about to change as we have, thanks to Sam, all been made aware of this bad habit.

Sam: Dad, do gree-noodle bars actually have noodles in them?

Jeremy: No.

Sam: But they are called "Gree-NOODLE" bars.

Jeremy: They are actually called "Granola bars", but you couldn't say that when you were little and just started calling them "Gree-noodle bars".

Sam and Jeremy then continued to discuss who was actually pronouncing it correctly... we still have a bit of work to do to convince Sam that he should call them "Granola Bars".
